Based on my overflowing wine cabinet (which is actually just an entire cabinet in our already small kitchen dedicated to the 30+ bottles I own), it’s pretty clear that I love wine. So today when I found a local Wine Festival, I was super excited to go with my best friend LB and my new neighbor friend! We all met up right near Ponce City Market in Atlanta and it was a beautiful day – perfect for getting sunburnt and drinking wine. About three hours in, I slowly transition from pleasantly drunk to okay I need water and pizza STAT. I headed home and spent the rest of the night hanging out with Stormy and burning Trader Joe’s pizza. Days like this remind me that I’m not quite ready for #adulting 24/7.
The weather down here in Atlanta is GORGEOUS – so I took advantage! I paired my new shirt (story on why I broke the challenge here) with an old pair of shorts and my favorite Adidas sneakers for a casual and comfortable outfit!
Sound off, what’s your favorite kind of wine?

It’s been such a crazy month – I’ve been home twice for funerals (RIP LK and JJ) and lost a co-worker in Atlanta (RIP BC). L broke his tibia and I’ve been slammed at work. Between all of the craziness, I haven’t made it to the barn in way too long. As soon as I got there, I regretted all the time away. Anyone who’s ever ridden knows, at every barn there’s an eclectic group of individuals that ban together to form your ‘barn family.’ Here in Atlanta, my barn family includes an amazing group of women who are all strong, smart, and supportive. I was greeted back with lots of hugs and great life updates.
Reminder to self: get to the barn a lot more. It’s tough to be stressed or upset when you’re focusing on controlling a 2000+ pound animal.
After I made it home and showered, I changed into this comfortable outfit. It was perfect for cooking/baking and then lounging on the couch to watch Harry Potter with L. We actually had a somewhat chilly night, so these slippers were actually needed for once!
Sound off: what’s your escape?

The past few weeks have been absolutely crazy, but today we slowed down and enjoyed brunch with two of our best friends in Atlanta. We originally planned on going out for breakfast, but after seeing the waits we decided to run to Kroger (grocery store in Atlanta) to grab frozen fruit, OJ, and cinnamon buns. We ended up making food here and watching Say Yes to the Dress. It was a perfect, calm weekend with some of the best friends.
When I first moved to Atlanta, I was super worried about making friends. L’s best friend (and roommate all four years of college) lives here, so I knew he’d have a friend. I knew absolutely no one, until L introduced me to one of his co-workers. Now I don’t know what I’d do without Lexie!
Since we had a mellow day, I tossed on this comfy over-sized t-shirt that I got from the resale site Vinted for $8. It’s a little big, but it’s perfect for a brunch day at home!
I hope you all took time to hang with your friends and do a little bit of nothing this weekend too!
