As most of you know, I’ve been training for a half marathon. When I used to work at a running store (which still is one of the top two favorite jobs I’ve ever had!), people would ask all the time if it was easy to train. I’d always answer the same way – training is easy IF you are consistent and dedicated. I know it can be tough – do I go run after work, or do I cook that meat I have in the fridge that’s on its last day? Do I get up early to run or should I head into the office earlier to bypass traffic? Half marathon training has reinforced the #struggleisreal for me and there’s only one way I got through it: my amazing running partner Shelly! Every Monday morning, we meet up at 5am to go for a five mile run. There are plenty of mornings that I’d rather not be running, but having a partner has made this whole training thing a million times better.
Today for work, I wore these patterned pants. I’ve noticed in the office that patterned pants are all the rage now – so I need to keep up! I paired it with this loose-fit top and a cardigan for a pop of color!
