Today was a busy day! LB is moving, which is super depressing. Thankfully, for now, she’s only moving an extra ten miles away, but I’m still going to miss her! We spent the morning loading her stuff up into the U-Haul. From there, L and I grabbed a quick (and cheap) bite at bartaco before heading home to walk a friend’s dog. In the afternoon, I stopped by a friend’s house who was having a Stella and Dot party. I ended up buying a cute little arrow necklace and eating way too much bacon – so really just my normal afternoon. When I got home, I had just enough time to take a quick nap before L and I had a date night at Cinebistro. It’s been way too long since we’ve gone out just the two of us and it was such a treat!
Like I mentioned earlier, it’s been a while since L and I went on a date, so I dressed for the occasion! I actually bought this dress at an H&M in Spain when L and I were studying abroad. It was one of my few outfits I wore when we went out to the Spanish bars! Such good memories!

When all else fails, have a girl’s night! Thank goodness for LB – she’s been the most incredible friend over the past two years and I don’t know what I would do without her! She’s actually moving a few miles away in a few weeks, so I stopped by to help her pack up her kitchen and load up her car. We ended up at dinner and then polishing off a few glasses of wine, so I spent the night (probably for the last time!) at her place.
I love the bright pink in this outfit combo – it’s a surefire way to make me smile! Not going to lie, when LB and I went out to dinner, I wore the top half along with a pair of black shorts. Definitely a fashion statement, but not in a good way.
Sound off: what do you always do for your girl’s night?

I never wanted to move to Atlanta. When L first called me to tell me he got a job offer down here, I told him no. It didn’t help that he told me while I was managing a huge opening event in Jamaica (yes the country), so I was already stressed. I loved being a Boston-girl and had no desire to deal with the Atlanta heat.
Today is one of those days I’m so happy I moved. I had a tough day; I worked fourteen hours and it was super stressful. There was nothing better than coming home to a house I own (because I can actually afford one in the south) to the three best friends that anyone could have (plus some wine). LB is my best friend in ATL by far – she tells me when I’m being too intense and she’s one of the most loyal people I know. P was my finance’s roommates all four years of college and he has the driest sense of humor, which is so much fun. Then of course there’s L, but I’m supposed to love and him all that jazz because of the ring on my finger. (Of course I’m just kidding, he’s awesome but I talk about him a lot so yeah).
LB took the laughing picture and it completely captures tonight. Not going to lie, right after this picture was taken, I changed into comfy clothes and we walked the development with wine. I’m so grateful that after a tough day, I get the best nightcap (the friends, not just the booze).
What are you thankful for?
