Today I spent all day in bed because of the whole “my-hands-don’t-work-thing.” Now I’m officially caught up on about 80% of my shows and 100% of my sleep. Unfortunately my day was pretty boring, aside from the pain-killer induced daydreams.
Due to the whole, not getting out of bed/dealing with my hands situation, I’m totally in my pj’s. There’s something so incredibly demoralizing about L needing to put my shirt on, so I know I’m going to hate the next few weeks.

** WARNING – DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU DON’T LIKE TRAGICALLY PATHETIC ACCIDENTS**
Today started like many other weekends – I headed out for a long-ish run with some friends. We kicked off our 8 mile run at 6am (benefits of running with moms: they get more done before 9am than anyone else alive). About three miles in, I tripped over absolutely nothing. I wish I could say it was the darkness or something in the road, but I truly just tripped over my own two feet. At first when I got up, I thought I was fine, but looking at my hands I quickly realized I wasn’t in great shape. My amazing running partner ran back to get the car, while I headed into a Publix to clean up. A few hours later, I ended up in urgent care, calling my mom to check on my tetanus shot. Thanks to my prankster little sister, she was convinced the whole thing was an April Fool’s joke. At least I’m going to get to spend the rest of the day lounging on the couch!
This outfit is what I ran it – I didn’t change out of it until hours later when my hands were bandaged up. Certainly not going to win any fashion awards today!

I never realized how many things L helped with until he was on crutches. Seriously, I’m not responsible for all things trash/recycling, late night pup outings, and cleaning. I think I’m counting down the days that he’s off crutches almost more than he is. At least he really doesn’t feel too much pain, so that’s a bonus (for him at least).
So today at work a couple co-workers and I decided to have a November challenge. We have to go to the gym twenty days during the month of November. It’s a good kick in the butt for me – I’ve definitely been slacking lately. And when I say lately, I mean for the past few months. So help me out, what classes actually get you out of bed in the morning??
I went back and forth on what color cardigan to match with this outfit. I finally settled on this bright pink – nothing says “nobody puts Baby in the corner” better than neons.

Last night when I came home from dinner, L told me that he’d hurt himself playing soccer. I figured he just tweaked something and that he’d be fine today. Apparently he heard a ‘pop’ – which is never a good thing. Thank goodness my best friend from college who got her DPT is coming down this weekend for my birthday. It’s always good to know a doctor!
Anyways today I needed to sneak out of work a little early to help take care of L – which meant I was so busy tonight with work stuff. Plus there was some cleaning and prepping for T to get in this week. I’m SO excited!
Anyone ever had ACL surgery and have any advice?
