As many of you know, L and I have been making a little extra money for the wedding from dog watching on the weekends! This weekend, we watching a cute little Austrian Shepard mix who, to be honest, reminded us why we do not need a puppy right now. This pup has endless energy – even Stormy can’t keep up! Tonight we’re going to have a mellow night watching the pups and binging The Voice. Not going to lie, I’m still recovering from our ‘wild’ night on Wednesday. When did I get so old?
Today I wore on of my favorite shirts. This is one of the shirts that makes me a little bit excited for this challenge to be over – I can’t wait to start wearing it more often!

WOHOO WE MADE IT! I am so excited for this long weekend. Right now my weekend plans are pretty amorphous, but I know that I am training for my half marathon tomorrow and that’s pretty much it. I know tonight is going to be super mellow night – I can’t wait to sleep in and catch up on This is Us. Not going to lie – I just was planning our Labor Day weekend plans and I can’t wait for a long weekend that is warm (and close to our wedding!).
I don’t believe in the whole “no-white-after-Labor-Day” thing, so here I am in white jeans and this awesome blazer I picked up second-hand a few years ago. I figured something bright needs a nice navy neutral, so I paired it with this super old top I got in high school. Even though it’s a loose-fit shirt, I’m counting this as a win. Cheers to the long weekend y’all!

I just keep singing to myself “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.” I cannot wait until this afternoon because (1) my baby sister will be in town, (2) I will be on the way to a weekend at the wineries, and (3) I won’t be at work anymore. On the plus side, we had King of Pops today for free so I can’t complain.
When I finally made it through the workday, I made it home to the best possible sight – four of my best friends on my porch pregaming. I grabbed a white wine and joined right in.
It’s finally feeling like fall, so I wanted to rock some fall colors! These pants are so incredibly comfortable; they almost feel like leggings. I feel like their fun color keeps them from being too casual in the office.
So your turn: what are you excited for this weekend?

I really like having these baby weeks. I breezed through this Friday at work because I feel like I haven’t even been working lately (and the truth is I haven’t really). Today I spend 85% of my day just trying to stay afloat – between catching up on emails and way too many meetings, I was swamped.
Which leads me to why I am so incredibly lame. Even though I only spent two days at the office this week, I was still so tired from traveling. Plus our laundry basket was overflowing to the point that it was starting to become a focal point in our bathroom. So tonight I spent cleaning up around the house, watching reruns of Drop Dead Diva, and going to bed early. When I say early, I mean my grandparents were probably up later than me tonight.
Today I built my entire outfit around this top. I actually stole it from my mom when I went to college freshman year! Since it’s casual Friday, I took advantage by wearing some black skinny jeans. I rounded off the outfit with these tan flats, which gives the outfit a fall-ish safari feel.
So anyone out there have anything more exciting planned for the weekend?

For my little sister’s birthday/college graduation, we’re heading to Terceira Island in the Azores, Portugal for a week of hiking, wine drinking, and relaxing. Last night I stayed up late packing and I’m officially packed (aside from my toothbrush). Now I just need to get through today at work.
