Day 349: Breakfast and Puppies

I’m still recovering from a crazy past few days! This morning, a big group of us headed out for breakfast. Unfortunately, we are probably the toughest group to find a place to eat! We have vegans, vegetarians, and crazy allergies – so it took a while! After breakfast, we hit the road so we could stop by L’s parents on the way home.

Before we started driving, I did take a super quick nap with my friend’s 8 week old puppy! Now, I have puppy fever something fierce. L is staying strong that we don’t need another puppy, but I hope I’m starting to wear him down!

Today it was freezing – I don’t know what’s up with me and being a terrible packer lately. From here on out, I need to start checking out the weather beforehand! I did end up kidnapping L’s sweatshirt for most of the day!

Sound off: any crazy allergies?

Day 209: Rainy Day and a Good Dinner

We had so much fun yesterday, despite the rain. I woke up bright and early to make breakfast, just like my dad used to do back in the day. We had a great spread of bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches, homemade blueberry banana muffins, bagels, and bacon. Moose and her girlfriend and my future parents-in-law headed out in the morning since they were all driving back to North Carolina. My parents’ flight doesn’t leave until Monday morning, so we got a little bonus time with them. For dinner, they brought me and L to Canoe, my favorite Atlanta restaurant. We had a blast eating great food and watching L’s face when he tried Grand Marnier for the first time.

During the day I stayed comfortable in this loose fit t-shirt and cardigan. It was perfect for the rainy day. I actually picked up these rainboots during Black Friday. I’ve always wanted Hunter rainboots and at that price I couldn’t pass it up! For dinner, I dressed it up a bit with a LBD and a long maroon cardigan that I got for Christmas from L’s uncle.
